For Jeff, real estate is a family thing. His father, Thurmond Knight, was a farm and land broker in central Florida beginning in 1955. Thurmond served the Glades and Palm Beaches for over 30 years. Jeff's brother, Danny Knight, has been serving mortgage and real estate clients since the 1970s.
I have been investing and brokering property since 1995. I started with RE/MAX in Winston-Salem, then worked with my brother in Palm Beach.
Then we purchased the EXIT Realty sub-franchise for Georgia and I served briefly as the Vice President of EXIT Realty International for the southeast USA. I married Ruth Ann, we sold our interests in EXIT Realty, moved to Bangkok, Thailand and served on the mission field for four years where all three of our children were born. Moving back to the Georgia, I purchased our brokerage in north Georgia where we have been serving folks since 2007.
Now, my son, William, is joining the business so we are training the third generation in how to care for clients and help folks have stress-free moves. A graduate of Wake Forest University, he is married to Ruth Ann Knight and they have three wonderful children - Winston, who is serving as an air traffic controller in the US Navy / Victoria, who is studying Art Education at Anderson University / and William, who is working towards his business and finance degree as he begins his own career in real estate.
Jeffrey and Ruth Ann are members of the First Baptist Church, Cumming. Ruth Ann is the Media Specialist and Librarian at Lanier Christian Academy. Our home is centered between Cumming and Gainesville, GA right on Lake Lanier.
